Sorry my dear sci-fi-fans, this is not another conspiracy theory, how our life will look like in twenty years, if we will need supermarkets in real-life or just order everything from the web (eBay food) and if the Japanese water toilets will seize the world dominance. I rather concern myself with the question: What will be the new "it-Location" after the supermarket?
Four weeks ago Karl Lagerfeld let his Chanel dolls walk down the aisle of an Chanel supermarket. Now accessories complementing this supermarket flair are quite in fashion: bags looking like milk cartons (Chanel, Olympia Le-Tan), or looking like croissants (Charlotte Olympia) or just like shopping bags (Chanel, Jil Sander). But then? What will be next?
Nein liebe Sci-Fi-Fans, ich muss euch leider enttäuschen, dass ist keine weitere Verschwörungstheorie, wie unser Leben wohl in 20 Jahren aussehen wird, ob wir Supermärkte im Real-Life noch brauchen oder alles im Internet bestellen (ebay-Food) und ob die japanischen Wasserklos die Weltherrschaft übernehmen werden. Mich beschäftigt eher die Frage: Was wird nach dem Supermarkt die neue "It-Location"?
Vor 4 Wochen lies Karl Lagerfeld als Konsumkritiker, der er ist, seine Chanel-Püppchen durch die Gänge eines Chanel-Supermarktes laufen. Nun stehen Accesoires, die diesen Supermarkt-Flair komplettieren, hoch im Kurs: Taschen, die aussehen wie Milchtüten (Chanel, Olympia Le-Tan), oder Croissants (Charlotte Olympia) oder gleich Einkaufstüten (Jil Sander, Chanel). Und dann? Was dann?

Will be libraries the new trend places? The french designer Olympia Le-Tan moves in the right direction designing her popular, all too often copied (some books worn under your arm is not the same) book clutches, but maybe the whole librarian style will be hot soon? Who knows?
Werden Bibliotheken die neuen Trend-Places sein? Die französische Designerin Olympia Le-Tan legt schon mit ihrer beliebten, oft kopierten (an alle: Bücher unter den Arm zu klemmen ist nicht das selbe) Bücher-Clutches vor, aber vielleicht wird auch wieder der dröge Bibliothekarinnenstyle beliebt? Wer weiß?

 And what is about filling stations? The smell of motor oil, the exhaust fumes of passing cabriolets let wave our hair- the perfect new place-to-be! The cool nineties-jeans with patches (DKNY) add some new vibes to this direction. But I want to see motorcycle helmets on the runways of this world! Viva la Revolution!
Und was ist mit Tankstellen? Der Geruch von Motoröl, die Abgase der vorbeiziehenden Cabrios lassen das Haar wehen- der perfekte neue Place-to-be! Ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung sind schon mal die coolen Nineties-Jeans mit Patches (DKNY). Ich will aber Motorradhelme auf den Laufstegen dieser Welt sehen! Viva la Revolution!

Instead of fast cars rather fast horses? A horse droppings romance endamages nobody and a riding helmet looks very stylish! And once in a while the riding stable owned the title "Miss-It-Place-Universe",if we think about the Chanel spring collection 2010.
Statt schnellen Autos lieber schnelle Pferde? Eine gewisse Pferdeäpfel-Romantik hat noch niemanden geschadet und ein Reithelm sieht stylisher aus als viele denken! Und hin und wieder hatte der Reitstall auch schon mal den Titel "Miss-It-Place-Universe" inne, wenn wir uns zurückerinnern an die Chanel Spring Kollektion 2010.

But let us leave the civilization and betake ourselves to the nature: Why not the Alps? In contrast to the library, the filling station and the riding stable the mountains are not fashion old-timers. From now on they say in fashion town: Grüß Gott! Because leather trousers, mountain shoes and German lebkuchen from fun fairs are really something new.
Aber verlassen wir die Zivilisation und begeben uns in die Natur (ach ja die gibt es ja auch noch): Warum denn nicht die Alpen? Im Gegensatz zur Bibliothek, der Tankstelle und dem Pferdestall sind die ollen Felsbrocken keine alten Fashionhasen. Also heißt es nun bald in Fashionkreisen: Grüß Gott! Denn Lederhosen, Bergsteigerstiefel und Lebkuchenherzen vom Jahrmarkt wären wirklich mal etwas Neues.

Unser Blog hat erst vor kurzem das Licht des Internets erblickt und das merkt man auch noch. Trotzdem bemühen wir uns um öööh ja... Professionalität und ich (Gretchen) lese auch viele achso "hilfreiche" Tipps für Blogger. Dabei stoße ich immer wieder auf den gleichen Ratschlag:
   "Lasst persönliche Dinge in euren Blog  einfließen. Teilt am Besten euer GANZES Leben mit euren Lesern!!! Lasst sie wissen, wer eure Oma ist, was eure Katze heute morgen erbrochen hat und welche Blümchen euer Toilettenpapiere zieren. Ihr müsst einfach eure ganze Personaaality zeigen!"

Wieso? Geht es nicht um die Mode und wie man sie interpretieren kann? Bei vielen Streetstyleblogs, deren Aufgabe ja ist die Mode von den Laufstegen an echten Menschen zu zeigen und wie diese damit umgehen, werden nicht mal unbedingt die Gesichter der Fashionistas fotografiert, sondern nur den zusammengestellten Look.
Ich hoffe, das erklärt auch, warum wir unsere Gesichter nicht zeigen. Ich zumindest bin es leid, mich mit der Persönlickeit anderer Leute aus dem Internet abzugeben. Ist das jetzt zu persönlich? Oh Gott, JA! Entschuldigung.
Möchtet ihr mehr von unseren  Persönlichkeiten erfahren oder reicht euch eine verschwommene Vorstellung von den kranken Genies, die vor den flackerenden Bildschirmen dieses Blogs sitzen?

Our Blog just see the light of internet and you can recognize it. But anyway, we go after eeehm yeah... professionalism and I (Gretchen) read many "helpful" tipps for blogger. TherebyI always come across the same advise:

  "Incorporate personal things into your blog. Share your whole life with the readers!!! Let them know, who your grandmother is, what your cat puke at the morning and how the flowers on your toilet paper look like. You just have to show your whole personaaaality!"
Why? Fashion is the important and how somebody interprets it, isn't it? Many Streetstyleblogs doesn't show the face of the fashionistas, just their composed looks.
I hope that explains, why we don't show our faces. Anyway, I am totally tired of messing around with personalities of "web-humans". Is my own opinion too personal? O my god, yes!

Nacht über Berlin, das flackernde Licht meines Computers, der Geschmack von Brezeln - 
perfekte Stimmung für eine Liebeserklärung, ich kann nicht mehr so weiter machen...
denn ich möchte den Rest meines Lebens mit diesem T-Shirt verbringen!

Für das Pferdchen habe ich damals extra ein anderes Shirt in Stücke gerissen. Zerstörungswut ist ja sooo fashy ....Mein allerstes DIY, das ich nicht verstecken musste, wenn wir Gäste hatten.

For the horsey I actually tore another shirt into pieces.Vandalism is sooo fashy...The very first DIY of mine that I did not need to hide when we received company.

Meine erste nähere Begegnung mit Enten hatte ich in der Grundschule: Die Fähigkeit, eine Ente aus einer 2 und einer 6 zu zeichnen, hat mir danach auch des öfteren das Leben gerettet!
In primary school, I had my first close encounter with ducks: Ever since then, the ability of drawing a duck out of a 2 und a 6 has been repeatedly saving my live.

Jetzt habe ich - schon wieder - mein ganzes Zimmer auf den Kopf gestellt, um irgendwo noch Platz für meine Socken zu finden. Gefunden habe ich dabei aber diese reizende Entenfamilie.

In den nächsten Wochen werde ich euch zeigen, was herauskommt, wenn eine Silberzunge wie ich sich eine goldschnäbelige Ente auf einen grünen Pullover drucken lässt.

Now - again - I have messed up my entire room in order to find some more space for my socks somewhere. What I found is this charming duck family. Soon, I am going to show you what comes out, if a silver tongue like me has a duck with a golden beak printed on a green pullover.

Oh, Kommunismus ... ? Dass dessen Überreste nicht mehr das einzige sind, was Berlin sexy macht, dafür sorgt seit  fünf Jahren die Berlin Fashion Week. Der Profi-Fotograf pirscht sich an so ein heißes Event natürlich nur aus dem Gebüsch an!

Noch ist das Getrampel und Gestöckel der Fashion-Crowd auf unseren Straßen nicht zu vernehmen, aber Berlin zieht sich warm an, d   e    n      n            als Geister

ruft Euch, nur zu seinem Zwecke

erst hervor der alte Meister.

In diesem Sinne : Lasst die Puppen tanzen!

 
Oh, communism...? These relics are not the only thing to make Berlin so incredibly sexy, for five years the Berlin Fashion Week has contributed its share now. Of course, a professional photographer only sneaks up to such a hot mess through the bushes! The noise of the approaching fashion crowd is not yet to be heard, but Berlin prepares itself as we all now dear Goethe`s (and Disney's) "Zauberlehrling".

Different coloured socks are cool, right?!
But what if you took it to the next level....? And what if I told you that that was everything I did last summer...?
Let us stand up for different coloured shoes as long as no one else has had this stupid trend idea yet!!!
I thought wearing two different shoes was so faaaancy, but....you cannot always get what you want and obviously the world was not ready for it! First your legs get a crisis of identity, they grow different lenghts and you come home limping. Well it is the same thing with high heels...so what?!
But then my mom noticed it and since then every new pair of shoes I want to buy is legally examined.
And that stupid prince still has not shown up with my dancing shoe.
