First, I wanted to call this serial "Oldie, but Goldie", but this name sounds more like a revival of retro cornflakes with a sea bear as the official mascot. Coming to think about it, this description matches the meaning of the series (except the sea bear). Who doesn't know this: There are these so-called "basics" in your closet and they have potential! But because of laziness and a lack of inspiration they are just worn i the intended way. So the idea is: Wearing your panties as a headpiece. Ok, fine, we start with the ultimate basic: the trenchcoat.

Zuerst wollte ich diese Reihe "Oldie, but Goldie" nennen, doch dieser Name klang eher nach einer Neuauflage von Retrocornflakes mit einem Seebären als Maskotchen. Wenn ich jetzt so überlege, passt diese Beschreibung eigentlich doch ganz gut zu dem Sinn dieser Serie (ausgenommen der Seebär). Denn wer kennt es nicht: Da sind diese Basics im Kleiderschrank und sie haben so viel Potenzial! Aber aus Faulheit oder Inspirationslosigkeit kommen sie doch nur ihrem eigentlichen Zweck zu gute. Die Idee: Die Unterhose als Kopfbedeckung. Naja gut, fangen wir erstmal mit dem Basic schlechthin an: Dem Trenchcoat.

-Wieso nicht mal als Rock? Einfach den Mantel zuknöpfen, die Arme jedoch nich in die Ärmel stecken; diese werden um die Taille verknotet

Did you hear about the term "Basic Bitch"? Yeah, me neither! (Ok, maybe 99% of you came across this word a hundred times but that just demonstrates... that I am uncool). Explanation for the 1%: "Basic Bitch" describes a person, who believes to be über-mega-super-duper-fashy, quasi the Zeus of fashion Olympus,- in fact this demigod just wears the most boring basics.

"Stop! Ma'am did you just say "boring basics"? I have to detain you because of defamation of a civil basic on fashion duty. No didoes, ok? Hands up plea... Hey stay here! Jimmy give me the walkie-talkie! Code 134: Eloped fashion victim on route north west; require backing, over!"

Are you at least beware of your foul play? Basics are the foundation pillars of our wardrobe society and in no case boring!"

Habt ihr schon mal den Begriff "Basic Bitch" zu Ohren bekommen? Ja, genau, ich auch nicht! (Ok 9
9% sind wahrscheinlich schon 1000mal dem Wort im Web und im Real Life begegnet, aber das
beweist doch nur!... dass ich uncool bin). Für die anderen 1%: "Basic Bitch" beschreibt eine Person, die sich für ultra-mega-fashüüü hält, sozusagen der Zeus des Modeolymps,- in Wirklichkeit trägt dieser Halbgott jedoch nur die langweiligsten Basics.

"Halt! Ma'am haben sie da eben gerade "langweilige Basics" gesagt? Dafür muss ich sie leider wegen Basicbeleidigung festnehmen lassen. Keine Mätzchen, ok? Hände bitte na... Hey bleiben sie stehen!  Ok meistens ist der Clou bei dieser x Pieces, y Looks Geschichte der, das man mit den wenigen Stücken viel mehr Outfits kreieren kann. Bei meinen Sachen (Ringelshirt, Shorts, Cabanjacke, Shiftkleid und ein Tuch) kann man das auch, aber wieso gleich alles auf einmal? Ich werde euch alle Looks, falls ihr die Reihe mögt, Stück für Stück zum Fraß vorwerfen. Schön diabolisch.
Ok the clou of the x pieces- y looks- story is that you create a ton of outfits with a small amount of clothes. You can also do that with my things (striped shirt, shorts, caban jacket, shift dress and a scarf), but why everything at the same time? If you like the series I am going to throw all the looks bit by bit to you, my little wolves. Diabolic.

Der erste Look ist etwas Business mäßig. Die Shorts und die Jacke haben die gleiche  Farbe wodurch der Anschein eines zusammen passenden Anzuges entsteht.
This first look is a little bit business style. The shorts and the jacket have the same colour and in this way you have as good as a suit.

Dieses Outfit würde ich wahrscheinlich zum Picknick anziehen und das nicht nur weil ich einen Picknickkorb in der Hand halte.
I would wear this outfit probably to a picnic and that not just because I carry a picnic basket in my hand.

Ok das hier passt wohl eher in einen Comic rein (Wow und auf dem Foto ist sogar der Arsch einer Katze dabei!!!). Obwohl die 2 Taschen sehr praktisch sind. Aber falls ihr mal die Tokyo Fashion Week besucht: Hier eine kleine Anregung.
Ok that would probably fit into a comic (Wow there is also the ass of a fat cat). Although the 2 bags are pretty practical. But if you are visiting the Tokyo Fashion Week: Here a little inspo.
