The sun came out today! Then the old lady saw how the peoples look like after a long winter and immediately she went back to sleep.
During this time between Siberian ice storms and mild spring warmth you can easily get a cold- so do  I. Now I have to stop walking around naked to initiate the spring. Scarves are the best friends to endure the changing temperatures.
Die Sonne kam heute raus! Dann hat sie gesehen, wie die Menschen nach dem langen Winter in Berlin aussehen und hat sich sofort wieder in ihre Bettdecke eingemummelt.
In dieser Übergangsphase zwischen sibirischen Eisstürmen und milder Frühlingswärme kann man sich leicht erkälten- so wie ich! Jetzt ist wohl Schluss mit halbnackt rumlaufen, um den Frühling einzuleiten. Schals sind jetzt sowieso die besten Begleiter um die wechselnden Temperaturen zu überstehen.

Bow Tie
Because of Saint Laurent Paris totally hip (Yeah I said this word) bow ties are perfect for warmer spring days. I wear a vintage silk scarf tied as a bow around a men shirt, furthermore an original Showgirl skirt from Las Vegas (It is actually from  Zara) and tap shoes from the Golden Twenty's (from Zara).
Durch Saint Laurent Paris wieder hip (ja ich habe wirklich dieses Wort benutzt) geworden, ist der Bow Tie perfekt für wärmere Vorfrühlingstage. Ich trage hier einen Vintage Seidenschal als Schleife gebunden unter einem Herrenhemd, außerdem einen original Showgirl-Rock aus Las Vegas (von Zara) und Steppschuhe aus den golden Twenty's (von Zara).

 

Colossal Rag
Especially on colder days my favourite blanket (from -surprise- Zara) proves of value as a windbreak. To this, I like to wear another favourite of my all-weather stuff: my leather jacket from Zara and black Zara booties. I put on a  pair of orange cord trousers (Campus) to not appear like a winter depression.
Besonders an kälteren Tagen bewährt sich mein Lieblingslaken (von- ach was für eine Überraschung- Zara) als super Windschutz. Dazu trage ich gerne einen weiteren Favoriten von mir in Sachen Allwettertauglichkeit: meine Lederjacke von Zara sowie schwarze Zara Booties. Um nicht wie eine in den Frühling verschleppte Winterdepression zu wirken, trage ich eine knallorange Campus Kordhose. 

Silk Carré
Ok silk carré sounds like this exemplar is an original from Hérmes- it is! (not. H&M). I really wear this kerchief almost everyday- for not looking boring I try to knot it in many different ways every day. get creative, people. Just sayin'. This spring ninety's sneakers are indispensable, like my orthopedic version with hook-and-pile fastener of the Adidas Stan Smith. 
Ok gut Carré klingt jetzt so als ob dieses Exemplar original Hérmes wäre- ist es auch! (nicht. H&M). Dieses Tuch trage ich wirklich oft- damit es nicht langweilig wirkt, probiere ich immer wieder andere Knottechniken aus. Get creative, people. Just sayin'. Unerlässlich sind im Frühling Ninety's Sneakers, wie meine orthopädische Version mit Klettverschlüssen der Adidas Stan Smith's.

What time is it? It's summer bedtime! (High School Musical 1?- I guess)
Ok es ist auch Sommerzeit, die Ferien beginnen und das einzige was man da nachholen möchte: Schlaf. Es wäre aber zu schade, wenn man den ganzen Sommer verschlafen würde, also wieso nicht einfach den Pyjama Alltagstauglich stylen? Zwischendurch kann man so auch ein kleines Nickerchen einlegen. Es würde nicht mal auffallen, falls ihr mal kurz in der U-Bahn ein Päuschen macht ( Na gut, die meißten würden euch für einen Obdachlosen halten). Viele Schlafanzüge sind sowieso viel zu schön um sie nur euren Kuscheldecken zu präsentieren also: Raus mit den Pyjamas in die große, weite Welt!

Ok it is also summertime, the vacation starts and the only thing you want to catch up: Sleep. But it would be a shame, if you slept the whole summer, so why not wear your pyjama in your every day life? Occasionally you can have a little catnap. It wouldn't even attract attention if you make a break in the subway (Ok most people would deem you a derelict). Much pyjamas are way to pretty for to just present them to your canoodle blanket, so: Out with all the pyjamas in the wild world!

Yes I am talking to you, my dear pullover !
And I got my mind seäääät on you, I got my mind set on you.
Thanks to you I always feel so...dressed. I love the ornaments on your sleeves, the delicate whiteness of your chest, the cleavage that does not suggest anything to anyone - does anyone know what I mean? I am sure my wonderful pullover does...
That is why I developped a set of (2) outfits to complement our perfect monogamous relashionship.

Just so you know, we predicted the birth of the statement sleeves long before god first thought of it.

Streifen sind irgendwie jeden Sommer in. Wie kann man dann vermeiden, wie die 08/15 Fashionistas auszusehen, die ihr Streifenshirt mit einer Jeans kombinieren und das "voll fashyyy" finden? Ganz einfach: Lage über Lage über Lage. Vielleicht sieht man dann aus wie ein explodierter Marshmallow aber was solls? Das ist das Leben.
Every summer stripes are in. But how can avoid to look like the 08/15 fahionista, who combine her striped shirt with a jeans and thinks it's "totallyyy fashyyyy"? Easy: Layer, Layer, Layer. You may look like a exploded marshmallow, but who cares? That's life.
1) Print, Colour, STRIPES!

Dress: Mango

Wenn ihr mit Mustermix arbeitet, ist es wichtig darauf zu achten, dass sich die Farben in den verschiedenen Prints wiederholen (hier: blau-weiß). Niemals könnt ihr etwas mit den Primärfarben Gelb, Blau, Rot falsch machen.
If you work with mixing prints it is important that the colours of the different prints repeat (here: blue and white). You can never go wrong with the primary colours Yellow, Blue, Red.

2)  Stripes & statement piece

Streifen können Outfits mit einem Statementstücke wie dieses Schößchentop auflockern und bringen Verspieltheit in den Look. Was soll ich jetzt noch schreiben?

Do you have a favourite clutch but the more often you wear it the more it looses "the glow"? I mean it doesn't look ... interesting to you anymore? But do you really have to buy a new clutch? Of course you can, but give your old clutch a break and PIMP IT! With 4 easy methods:
1) Wristlet Clutch
Wristlet Clutches was and are a big trend seen especially on fashion week. But nothing is easier than making your own wristlet clutch! Just take a chain, a belt or also a leather ribbon and attach it onto your clutch

2) Stuffed Animal Pendant
Everybody likes Animals (I guess). And almost everybody likes something which dangles around (you know what I mean...;)). So why not let an animal dangle on your clutch? Mine is from Marc Cain and it looks a little bit like a voodoo doll but I couldn't live without it.

3) Tassels
Tassels were also a big trend the last years on the runway. I made my own with some fabric and fur and the vibrant pink matches perfectly to the skin leather of the clutch. You can also append a pair of sunglasses in the same colour to add a little bit of summer feeling.

4) A ton of scarfs
Your clutch might look like an exploding peacock but seriously- who doesn't want to have an exploded bird? Scarfs with prints match to monochrome clutches, printed clutches look better with plain scarfs.

How you want to appear to the whole world (or at least to your school)

Der Tag des Fototermins rückt näher und näher. Man trägt sich das Datum in den Kalender ein, um ihn ja nicht zu vergessen und dann- steht man eines Morgens zu spät vorm Spiegel gerade an dem Tag, wo die Fotos für das Jahrbuch gemacht werden. Viel Zeit bleibt einem da natürlich nicht, sich ein schönes Outfit auszusuchen, das auch die Persönlichkeit unterstreicht und besonders ab den Schultern gut aussieht. Mit 4 einfachen Mitteln könnt ihr eure Erscheinung noch retten:

The day of the photo session moves closer and closer. You register the date in your calendar and then- one morning you oversleep exactly at that day, where photos are made for the yearbook. Therefore you don't have many time to choose a nice outfit, which underlines your personality and looks good from your shoulders. But with 4 easy tricks you can save your appearance:

 

1. Peter Pan Collar:
Ihr solltet euch vor allem auf euren Halsbereich konzentrieren, weil man bei diesem Fotoformat am meisten machen kann. Ein schlichter Bubikragen ist sehr klassisch, kann aber etwas spießig aussehen. Deswegen sind auffällige Ohrringe (die ich bei diesem Foto nicht anhabe) ein Muss.
You should especially concentrate on your neck area, because there you can do the most if you have this format of picture. A simple Peter Pan Collar is very classy, but can also look square. Thus, amazing earrings (which I don't wear at this pic) are a must.

2. An Interesting Blouse
Hemden mit einem auffälligen Muster und/ oder einem interessanten Kragen sind echte Eyecatcher. Am besten ihr greift eine Farbe aus dem Muster wieder in anderen Kleidungsstücken auf.
Button-down shirts with a flashy print and/or an interesting collar are real eyecatchers. Best, if you pick up a colour of the print in other clothes.

3. Statement necklaces
Ja ja, die gute, altbewährte Statementkette. Damit zeigt ihr, dass ihr auch nicht vor Ausgefallenem zurrückschreckt, egal wie hässlich es vielleicht ist. Pluspunkte verdient ihr, wenn die Kette auch noch selbstgemacht ist, wodurch eure "kreative Seite" ans Tageslicht kommt.
The good, old statement necklace. With it you show, that you don't shrink from eccentric things , doesn't matter how ugly it is. You earn brownie points , if your necklace is "DIY", whereby your "artistic face" comes to daylight (not twilight XD, lol, rofl).

4. Freaky sunglasses.
Trag ein Bandshirt, dunklen Lippenstift, komische Sonnenbrillen und posiere. Deine ideale sind street-style-model Ikonen? Dann ist der Stuhl des Schulfotografen deine Bühne und du musst dein ganzes Modelpotenzial zeigen, weil du weist, dass du in diesem Schuljahrbbuch entdeckt wirst. Go girls, zeig mir alles was du kannst!
Wear a band shirt, dark lipstick, freaking weird sunglasses and strike an awful pose. Your ideals are the street-style-model icons? Than the chair of the school photographer is your stage and you have to show all your potential of a model, because you know that you will get discovered in the yearbook. Go girl and show me all your talent.

Overalls. Was sind eigentlich die Vorteil von Overalls? Ich meine sie sehen eigentlich schon sehr plump aus,  sind schwierig zu kombinieren und du musst die Oberhand über deine Blase gewinnen, denn aufs Klo gehen wird schwierig. Aber sobald man mal herausgefunden hat was man dazu anziehen kann, sehen sie einfach toll aus. Nicht jeder hat einen und sie können zu so vielen Gelegenheiten getragen werden. Mit Highheels oder doch Sneakers, elegant oder sportlich- Overalls sind sehr wandelbar.
Overalls. What are the advantages of an overall? I mean it looks clumsy, it is difficult to combine and you have to get the upper hand of your bladder, because going to the toilet with an overall is quite complicated. But if you found out what to wear to your one-piece suit it just looks great. Not everybody has one and you can overalls to many occasions. With high heels or sneakers, elegant or sporty- overalls are totally convertible.

Was? Du weißt nicht wie du deine Sneakers anziehen sollst? Ok, mir ging's genauso. Aber nach einer Schrankdurchsung und einigen Festnahmen stellten sich diese beiden Outfits der Fashionpolizei. Beide sind ohne die Schuhe etwas prüde und eher Business- oder Schultauglich. Doch gerade die Sportschuhe bringen Farbe und 90er Charme mit sich. Und meine Reeboks verkörpern Freiheit. What? Freiheit? Wovon labert sie? Aber: Diese Schuhe tragen die Möglichkeit mit sich, sofort los zu rennen, dem Alltag zu entfliehen und seinen Regenbogen zu finden. Du musst nur daran glauben. Der Regenbogen ist irgendwo da draußen. Lauf, Forr.. äääh Reeboks, lauft!
What? You don't know how to wear your new sneakers? Ok, I had the same problem. But after a closet search and some detentions these two outfits turned themselves in to the fashion police. Without the sneakers both of them are a little bit prim and business- or school capable. The shoes give them colour and a little bit of  90ies charm. And my reeboks stand for freedom. What? Freedom? About what does she babble? But: With these you have the opportunity to run away and find your rainbow. You just have to believe. Somewhere there is a rainbow for you. Run, Forr... Reeboks, run!
